„Art Training“ - European Culture Congress - Wrocław

“Art Training” is an invitation to participate in an artist-created urban game, the instructions for which will pop up all over Wrocław during the European Culture Congress in the form of posters and postcards.
The instructions have been prepared by a group of four Polish and Ukrainian artists (Nikita Kadan, Zhanna Kadyrova, Anna Ostoya, and Janek Simon). The creators want to provoke the city’s inhabitants and visitors to engage in critical thinking about the way that city spaces function. They are also very interested in seeing how art influences reality.

Slide Nite provides an extension to the Photomonth in Kraków programme by presenting works from the broadly understood area of press photography. Night time will provide the perfect atmosphere to see materials created in 2010 by individual artists and photographers from the world’s most important photo agencies: Agencja Gazeta, Aurora Photos, Forum, Hollandse Hoogte, Laife, Forum, Napo Images, Noor Images, Panos Pictures, Reporters, Sputnik Photos, Tendance Floue, Visavis.pl. The photos will be screened in urban spaces throughout the Podgórze district, which will serve as the focus of this year’s festival.
Slide Nite is overseen by the Visavis.pl Photographers’ Collective.
